Founded in 2004, the Tahoe City Downtown Association (TCDA) is a non-profit organization comprised of merchants, property owners and community members who seek to enhance and promote a vibrant and prosperous downtown center for residents and visitors.
Stacie Lyans, a creative leader with more than ten years of professional experience in public relations, marketing, recruitment and event planning, is the new executive director of the TCDA. She officially begins on Thursday, May 1. With a passion for serving others, Lyans has spent the past decade serving as the face of her alma mater, Humboldt State University. Her dedication and hard work recruiting students, giving thousands of dynamic presentations, coordinating events, organizing volunteer programs and creating marketing materials has helped HSU reach record enrollment for the past several years.
“I always look for opportunities where I can truly make a difference in the community and am thrilled to start a new chapter in my life by making a difference as the Executive Director of the Tahoe City Downtown Association,” shares Lyans who leads her life through HSU’s graduation pledge. “I pledge to explore and take into account the social and environmental consequences of any job I consider and will try to improve these aspects of any organizations for which I work.”
Lyons graduated with a Bachelors degree in Journalism and Mass Communication and holds a Masters in Business Administration. In her most recent role, Stacie served as the Assistant Director of Admissions and was regionally located in the greater San Francisco Bay Area.
