Save the date for Truckee's most talked about autumn event in historic downtown Truckee - the Historical Haunted Tour on Thursday, Oct. 16 and Friday, Oct. 17, 2014. The walking tour will depart and return to returning host sponsor extraordinaire, Moody's Bistro Bar & Beats.
Individual tickets ($40) will go on sale July 1 at www.TruckeeHistoryTour.org and lodging partners will be announced soon. VIP Tours for up to 16 people ($1,000) are new for 2014.
“The tour offers a creative peek into Truckee’s history," explains Nancy Tieken Lopez, the founder and executive director of Trails and Vistas, the main beneficiary of the 2014 Historical Haunted Tour. "We are thrilled that proceeds from admission and raffle ticket sales as well as generous sponsors, support our mission to create the region's only annual art-hike." The majority of funds raised will provide vital support for Trails & Vistas’ operations and youth-focused art hikes for third grade students throughout the North Tahoe and Truckee region.
The Historical Haunted Tour, produced by Sunshine Tahoe, has raised more than $31,000 since being offered in 2009. This year’s Tour will feature a treasure-packed raffle that celebrates unique work by Truckee-based artisans and Truckee travel packages featuring lodging, dining and specials from the event’s sponsors.
